I am offended?

I am kind of getting tired of these few folks that get "Offended" at the Christmas tree or other "Christian" things that are in public view.  Oooo! I'm offended. You have to take that Christmas tree down..... Or call it a Holiday tree or something else as to not "offend" the delicate ear nubs of stupid liberals.  Get over it.... I mean really.  I could get all bent out of shape over the "Too Many Christians, Too Few Lions" bumper sticker I saw today.  But I'm not.  How cares that this liberal dork advocates the death of Christians but Lions.  It's ok, right?

What the Heck Mexico?

With all of the incursions that the Mexican Cartles and Military that are occuring.... I see a real big problem rearing its ugly head real soon, if it hasn't already.  Yes, I know that American demand for the drug is what is driving the supply from the Cartels.  But, there are parts of Arizazona that are "off limits" to Americans because of the drug runners.  There have been incursions by either Mexican Military or Cartels dressed up like the Mexican Military to recover drugs (some in the presence of US Law Enforcement). 

Does anyone else see a problem with this other than me?  I hope that this new Congress has a pair.  Our current Grand Pooba doesn't have any.  What the heck.............

Does the 1st Amendment say "Seperation of Church and State"?

I am not sure what the big deal about Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's question "Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" If you read the First Amendment it say's:

Amendment I


Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Clearly it doesn't say "Separation of Church and State". I did not get a chance to listen to the whole debate in question.  It seems to me like the Democraps are just making a mountain out of a mole hill.  From the article in question, O'Donnell was just stating a fact. 

The First Amendment say's what it say's.  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.  Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.  Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.  Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of press.  Congress shall make no law abridging the right of the people peaceably to assembly.  And finally, Congress shall make no law abridging the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. 

There you go.

Here's a quick Q & A for you on some Constitutional Issues... Have Fun!

1.Has the Constitution always guided our country?

No. Originally the nation functioned under the Continental Congress and the Articles of Confederation. Eleven years after the Declaration of Independence the Constitution was written, agreed to and sent to the states for ratification. When ratified by nine states (as the document itself prescribed), the Constitution was declared to be the new governmental system. That occurred on Sept. 13, 1788. The new government was ordered to be convened on March 4, 1789.

2.What are the three branches of government named in the Constitution?

Legislative, Executive and Judicial.

3.Does the Constitution allow the Supreme Court to make law?

No. The very first sentence in the Constitution states: "All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States….” Any Supreme Court decision is the law of the case that binds only the plaintiff and the defendant. The meaning of the word “all” has not been changed.

4.Does the Constitution empower the President to make law?


No. Executive Orders issued by the President that bind the entire nation are illicit because, as noted above, “All legislative powers” are possessed by Congress. An Executive Order that binds only the employees of the Federal government (such as granting a holiday) is proper because the President should be considered to be the holder of power much like that possessed by the CEO of a company. But the entire nation is not in the employ of the President.

The President does have a role in lawmaking with his possession of a veto. He can veto a measure approved by Congress (which can be overturned by a two-thirds vote in each house of Congress), or simply allow it to become law by doing nothing within 10 days, “Sundays excepted.”

5.Does the Constitution give the Federal government any power in the field of education?

No. The Constitution contains no mention of any power “herein granted” in the field of education.

6.Where in the Constitution is there authorization to dispense foreign aid?

No such authorization appears in the Constitution

7.Did the Constitution give the Federal government power to create a bank?

No. Congress was granted power to “coin money,” meaning it was to have the right to create a mint where precious metal could be stamped into coinage of fixed size, weight and purity. There is no Constitutional authority for the Federal government to have created the Federal Reserve.

8.Can the provisions of a treaty supersede the Constitution?

Absolutely not. Thomas Jefferson responded to those who consider treaty-making power to be “boundless” by stating, “If it is, then we have no Constitution.”

9.Does the Constitution allow a President to take the nation into war?

It does not. The sole power to declare the nation at war is possessed by Congress. Congress last used this power at the beginning of World War II, when war was declared on Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor. (Germany declared war on the U.S. the next day.) A congressional vote to authorize the President to enforce United Nations Security Council resolutions should never be considered a substitute for a formal declaration of war.

10.Can you name any of the four crimes mentioned in the Constitution?

The four crimes mentioned are: Treason, bribery, piracy and counterfeiting.

11.Should the Bill of Rights be considered part of the original Constitution?

Many do hold that view because if the promise to add a Bill of Rights had not been made during the ratification process, some states would not have ratified the Constitution.

12.According to the Constitution, how can a President and other national officers be removed from office?

The President and other high officers of the Federal government can be impeached by a majority in the House and tried by the Senate. Impeachment does not constitute removal; it should be considered the equivalent of an indictment that must be followed by a trial. Two-thirds of the Senators “present” must approve removal at the subsequent trial to effect removal.

13.How many amendments have been added to the Constitution?

There are 27. The first 10 (the Bill of Rights) can be considered part of the original Constitution. Amendment 18 was repealed by Amendment 21. This means that, in 223 years, only 15 other amendments have been added. The process was deliberately made difficult to keep anything dangerous or silly from being added to the Constitution in the heat of passion.

14.How is an amendment added to the Constitution?

Congress can propose an amendment when two-thirds of both Houses of Congress vote to do so. Any proposed amendment must then by ratified by the legislature or a convention in three-quarters of the States. Amendments can also be proposed by a Federal Constitutional convention called by two-thirds of the States. Any amendment arising from a Constitutional convention must also be ratified by the legislature or a convention in three-quarters of the states.

15.Does the Constitution say anything about illegal immigration?

Not directly. But Article IV, Section 4 assigns to the Federal government the duty “to protect each of them [the States] from invasion.” It does not specify that the invasion must be military. When 12 million people enter our nation illegally, it is an invasion that should be repelled by the Federal government.

16.Is the term of a President limited by the Constitution?


Yes. In 1951, Amendment 22 was added to the Constitution to limit any President to two terms. The only President who served longer than two terms was Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who held office during a fourth four-year term. He died in April 1945 shortly after beginning his 13th year in office.

17.Which part of the Federal government holds “the power of the purse”?

The House of Representatives. Article I, Section 7 states: “All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives….” If a majority in the House (218 of its 435 members) refuses to originate a bill to raise revenue for something, then no funds can be spent on that activity.

18.Does the Constitution provide a method for expelling a member of Congress?

Two-thirds of each House has the authority to expel any of its members for cause even though the member has been elected by voters.

19.How many times is the word “democracy” mentioned in the Constitution?

The word “democracy” does not appear in the Constitution. Our nation is a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. The Founders feared Democracy (unrestricted rule by majority) and favored a Republic (rule of law where the law limits the government). James Madison wrote: “…. Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.”

20.Does the Bill of Rights grant the people free speech, freedom of the press, the right to possess a weapon, etc?

No. The Declaration of Independence, which provides the philosophical base of our nation, states very clearly that our rights are granted to us by our Creator. The various rights noted in the Bill of Rights were not granted by government. The purpose of the Bill of Rights is to prevent the Federal government from suspending any of those God-given rights, including the right to possess a weapon. Those who claim “Second Amendment rights,” for instance, make a big mistake with such a statement. If the right is granted by the Second Amendment, meaning by government, it can be taken away by government. If the right is granted by God, only He can take it away.

Has anyone run across this crap yet?

H.J.Res.5 - Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.

What in the heck.  Apparently the 22nd Amendment doesn't mean a hill of beans.  Just why what the heck does the 22nd Amendment say?  Lets look...


Amendment 22 - Presidential Term Limits

1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President, when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

Why would this bill get sent to Congress 12 days before Brother Obama was sworn in.  Interesting.  This appears mighty hinkey to me.  It looks like they planned on Obama running from now on.  To bad that neither Osama Obama, the Democratic controlled Congress or the Democratic controlled Senate have been worth a dang for this country.  I hope that these coming elections bring servants back into office.  It's not called public service for nothing. 

So here is my speach.  Get out there and find out about your candidates.  And vote for the ones that need to be there.  Regardless of political affiliation.  Vote for people that want to uphold the Constitution not repeal Amendments that are kind of important.  The founding fathers knew what they were doing when they wrote this stuff.

Amendment 3 - Quartering of Soldiers.

Amendment 3 - Quartering of Soldiers. Ratified 12/15/1791.

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Exactly what it says? Meaning that the man, can't make you keep soldiers at your crib when we are not in a state of war....Unless you allow it. The second part of this I need to research a little. I am curious what the "prescribed by law" portion might entail. I'll let you know.

I saw an article on Yar-hoo.  It was about the Glenn Beck 8/28 rally in DC.  Linked Here.  Here is is one of the comments from 3815G posted in it's entirety.  I was just wanting to comment on his comment.

"The right wing conservatives and Tea Party are undermining and destroying our trust in government.

Tax evaders who run to other states and OTHER COUNTRIES to avoid paying taxes, which would fund things like oil drilling and pipeline safety, are leading to the massive underfunding of our federal, state and local governments that would normally do things like monitor oil drilling and pipeline safety, fund schools, build roads, monitor labor conditions, monitor and regulate food safety & giant agribusiness operations as well as make sure are water and environment are not being polluted/destroyed by reckless business/manufacturing practices.

The 50 states of the U.S. should band together and tell big business that they will not continue to recieve tax cuts when they threaten to leave one of our states or move to AUTHORITARIAN COMMUNIST CHINA, Southeast Asia or other countries that abuse workers and the environment.

Our states are all now heavily indebted because of this practice and our schools and other government services are now being shut down. China's river and ground water is now some of the most polluted on earth from multinational/corporate abuses caused by these tax, labor and environmental law evaders who have fled to China from all the nations of the world to do business. This ground water will stay polluted for MANY years with heavy metals and various factory and farm chemicals sickening MILLIONS of Chinese citizens.

The Chinese government now distributes and sells water filters as well as face masks to their citizens so they can drink water and breathe air without getting sick.....have any of you ever seen news photos from China?.....do you ever wonder why their often wearing face mask......it's because the air is so filthy from poorly regulated multinational manufacturing. Poor people who can't afford these face masks and water filters simply get sick

The last administration loaded the E.P.A. with leaders who cow tow to big business/oil companies etc., Now were seeing the results of this cowardice and greed with increased oil spills and other eco-system damage.

Those believing that tax cuts as well as big business worshipping are the answer to all worldwide woes are creating a cult or fanatical religious sect which has tax cuts and destruction of government at it's center.

Tax cuts and destruction of civil government in favor of giant corporations and the rich will not bring riches and blessing to any country but anarchy and DESTRUCTION to lands, water people and air.

Corporations are not democratic institutions and need the hand of democratic government and it's people to guide them. Not regulating corporate excess leads to the destruction of all commerce and eventually these corporations themselves will collapse when world resources become exhausted because of abuse. Being a responsible U.S./world citizens that allow the hand of democratic governments to guide them is in these multinational corporation"s best interest.

Destruction and undermining of governments and tax bases will not only destroy governments but also business. The rule of law is what makes just and fair capitalism possible and healthy, not the destruction of government.

The U.S. and European governments are not big but increasingly small as the tax base becomes increasingly degraded and undermined by multinational power and extortion. The U.S. is a nation of 300 million who needs a government of fairly large size to regulate our markets, which are the world's largest. Regulation requires an adequate tax base to hire, train and employ regulators who can and will stop/prevent multinational extortion and abuse. Without adequate govenment we are at the mercy of non-democratic multinational corporate powers accountable to NO ONE and motivated only by increasing profits beyond sustainable levels."

 The first thing out of his mouth tell's me what kind of bone head he is.  Concervitism and the Tea Party's are not destroying our trust in the Government.  The Government is destroying our trust in the Government.  It's corupt or inept people like Pete Stark, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and don't get me started on the local level Government. 

Then he goes on to rant about Capitalism and the environment.  What a crackhead.  How about this... Lets just get rid of all big business and while we are at it, let's make it hard for any business to grow and prosper.  Lets just jump from one extreme to another.  Me need to find middle ground and stay there.  Right now we are far left of center thanks to..............

A Rambling Patriotic Cops View of the Bill of Rights - Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms.

Amendment 2 - Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. 

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The Second Amendment - this is a good one folks.  Lets looks at the first part.  A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State.  Here we go talking about Militias.  What is a Militia?  Well for those of you that are unsure, here is what our friends at the World Dictionary say:

1. a body of citizen (as opposed to professional) soldiers
2. an organization containing men enlisted for service in emergency only

Dictionary.com has Militia listed as:

mi·li·tia –noun
1. a body of citizens enrolled for military service, and called out periodically for drill but serving full time only in emergencies.
2. a body of citizen soldiers as distinguished from professional soldiers.
3. all able-bodied males considered by law eligible for military service.
4. a body of citizens organized in a paramilitary group and typically regarding themselves as defenders of individual rights against the presumed interference of the federal government.

I am going to stick with my World English Dictionary.  Number 4 on the Dictionary.com makes me think it was written by some far left liberal college professor.  So, it is safe to say that a Militia is a loosely formed group of citizens who are not necessarily professional soldiers, who in emergency's, ban together to defend their country or community.  Sounds good to me.

Actually, here in Alabama, there is a State run Militia.  It is called the Alabama State Defense Force.  I don't know a lot about them except that the few people that I have met were very professional (one is even a Constitutional Attorney).  I also seem to remember hearing that they could only be activated by the Governor or Lt. Governor (maybe) and that they only served within the State.  I guess that means that Go. Riley couldn't order them up and send them marching to Panama City, Florida for maneuvers.

I know that there are different types of groups in each state.  Some maybe better run than others.  But that's neither here nor there.  The Second Amendment states that the people have a right to form a Militia in defense of the state.  Actually, it says that their right to form a Militia shall not be infringed.

Wow... so if a Militia is a loosely formed group of citizens who are not necessarily professional soldiers, who in emergency's, ban together to defend their country or community.  Why is the Arizona Militia not running the Mexican Drug Runners out from the border.  I know "undocumented democrats", I mean illegal immigrants are a different matter entirely, but armed drug runners with the cartels.  I have not seen it but hear that there are places near the Arizona border that are OFF LIMITS to Americans because the freakin' drug dealers are running through there.  That is bull freakin' crap.

Hhhmmmm.... think of my happy place.  Anyway, that is another topic for another day as well.  So a Militia is a good thing according to the Bill of Rights.  And I know that there are fruit loops out there.  The Hutteree for example.  I know that they were targeting Police to get at the Government.  Well, that's just not smart.  I as a police officer ain't got nuthin' to do with no Government.  But, I think for them most part people that are in Militias are patriotic Americans who only want whats best for their community's and I can't blame them for trying to prepare. 

Lets look at the second part.  The right of the people to keep and bear Arms.  Well, that also sound pretty straight forward.  People of this country have a right to keep and bear arms (weapons).  I'll also mention that that right shall not be infringed as well.  Who said that an armed society is a polite society? Robert A. Heinlein I think.  I may be wrong.  He went a little further and said that "manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life."  If everyone was armed, I think thugs and thieves would think twice before home invasions or robberies.

All of this could really be boiled down to the right to defend oneself.  And you could say family, friends and fellow citizen. 

And while I'm talking about it, let me say.  I get asked a lot when I'm going to start going door to door taking peoples guns.   I posted this on another forum as well.  Well, let me tell you.  You won't ever find me going door to door.  And there are three simple reasons. 

1.  It's not Constitutional.  Plain and simple.  That is the measuring stick to end all measuring sticks.
2.  I am not going to let some old man give me his gun.  And I say that as in barrel first while pointed in my direction with a bullet screaming down the pipe.  That ain't happening either.
3.  If the government ever did take the populations gun.  Who do you think they would come after next.  That's right the Poe Poe.

So in closing. Support your local gun store.  Buy a gun or two and become proficient with it.  Heck buy a good knife while you are at it.  Learn all you can about firearm safety and choose to not be a victim.  Heck, learn how to hunt if you don't already.  There is my two cents.

I hear this all the time (on at least more than I can remember).  You violated my freedom of speech.  It is usually when they won't shut up, after they have been arrested.  At that point, I really don't care what you say.  Just be quite until we get back to the PD.  Anyway.  I decided to write this as a police officers view of what the Bill of Rights say in pseudo layman's terms. 

They very first words (Congress shall make no law).  Obama had it right.  The Constitution and Bill of Rights is a negative document.  It says what the Government can't do to its citizenry.  But that's a good thing.  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.  To me this reads that Congress either shouldn't be making laws to create a religion or maybe in support for or against a particular religion.  It shouldn't get in the way of how a person chooses to follow his or her religion.  Maybe we need a new religion.  Patriocostal.  And our "holy land" is Washington D.C. where we must make a pilgrimage to sing the National Anthem at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial.  I'm sure Pelosi's head would implode if that were to happen.

Congress shall make no law to abridge freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble.  I think I heard that Kenya has a New Obama friendly constitution.  One full of "positive's" that the government can do to its people.  Freedom of speech was the first to go.  I think personally that you have the right to say anything (as long as it doesn't border harassment).  Like for instance, I love bulldogs but I'll sure them as an example.  If I say I can't stand bulldogs and a bulldog gets offended because I said that, then who cares?  It doesn't matter.  It would be my opinion or my view of the bulldog. 

I have to listen to gay rights crap on the news all the time and I am offended.  But that doesn't mean that because I am offended that I have the right to censor others voice on the matter.  Or Christian tee shirts.  I cringe when I hear about students sent home from school because of what their tee shirt reads.  Come on people.  Get a grip... Hhhmmmm, I'm offended cause am a little whiny girly boy.  Get over it.  

Freedom of Press.  Well the Government should dictate what the press does stories on.  Or maybe they shouldn't censor what the press does stories on.

Peaceful assembly anyone.  Standing in the middle of Talladega Blvd. during race week is not a proper place to peacefully demonstrate.  And you should be arrested (for your own safety).  Getting in the way of that many race fans (some who may actually be card carrying rednecks) could be hazardous to your health.  Wait, change that.  Go ahead and let that be a well earned "life lesson".  All I am saying is to use common sense.  If you want to gather on private property, make sure it is yours or someones property that likes you (or at the least, tolerates you).  Or how about this.... Ask for permission.  Wow, there is a novel idea.  If it is private property and the owner asks you to leave, then by all means leave (especially if the police have also asked you to leave).  That is call trespassing if you don't.  And it is a very arrestable offense in Alabama.

And the last, to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.  I should be able to tell the government that they are a bunch of boneheads with out worrying about retaliation.  Sounds simple enough.  You'd be surprised.

I am amazed.......

I just took a spin around the different blogs on Blogspot.  I am amazed on a couple of different level.

First, I was amazed at the number of raving lunatics there are.  And am glad that I their freedom of speech lets me read about them.  No wonder this country is sliding down into crap.  Liberal minded extreme left thinking goon pots with their eco-friendly carbon credits and man made global stupification (if there was ever such a word).  Man.... I am so glad that my southern, heterosexual, white, male, capitalist, born again Christian, right wing, family loving self has never drank that brand of cool aid.

I don't say this without checking out both sides of the spectrum.  For one of the blogs I read about health care.  One gal was praising Obama and Peloise in the push through (or cram down - depending on your perspective) of Nationalized Health Care.  Now, my problem with Nationalized Health Care stems from the face that it has been crammed down our throats.  I think Ole Nancy said it best.. "me must pass the bill to know whats in it."  Are you serious.  How about read the bill to know whats in it BEFORE you pass it.  I mean really.  A three year old is smarter than that.

On the other end of the blog spectrum was a Christian family that decided to adopt and are now trying to better a few kids lives.  Way to go.  I'll keep you in my prayers.

A Word On Tolerance....

I actually met a fellow today that was writing a book on "Tolerance".  I didn't get a chance to talk to him in depth, but since to topic of the day seemed to be the current issues going on in New York regarding the Mosque that is to be built (or is being talked about being built) near Ground Zero.

Let me start by saying that I don't have a personal problem with someone who chooses to believe in Islam.  My problem lies in the fact that a majority of Islamic Terrorist are practitioners of Islam and want to kill me.  I have a big problem with that and take it very personal.  Anyway, back to topic.... I believe that any religion that wants to practice has a right to worship anywhere they can afford to build their church or mosque or temple.  I believe that the right to have religious freedom covers that.  I also think that peace loving Muslims need to start keeping their brothers in check.  Cause it is guys like these that are giving Islam an bad name.

I do however think it is a stupid idea to build a mosque at Ground Zero.  Build it on the other side of New York.  There are already more than 100 mosques in New York and the area around Ground Zero is not a residential area so its not like they will be ministering to the neighbors.  If you are trying to build bridges to heal the community then don't build the dang mosque right there.  You'll be pissing in everyone's cornflakes.

If I were Muslim and wanted to convert people to my way of thinking, I think I might be a little concerned that building a mosque where many Americans died in the name of the religion I was promoting.  I a bunch of Christians raided a mosque and killed a bunch of folks, people would be raising immortal cane. 

I also know that most major news outlets (NBC, CBS, MSNBC, ABC, CNN) don't show this anymore.  But, let us remember what radicalized Islam did on September 11th.  Just a stones throw away from where they now want to build an "outreach center".

Born in 1947, the son of a diplomat, Kaiser spent his childhood in three capital cities: Washington D.C. , Albany , New York , and Dakar , Senegal . He attended Harvard University , graduating there in 1969 with a B.A. in history. He then spent several years more at Harvard, gaining a PhD in history, which he obtained in 1976. He served in the Army Reserve from 1970 to 1976.

He is a professor in the Strategy and Policy Department of the United States Naval War College. He has previously taught at Carnegie Mellon, Williams College and Harvard University . Kaiser's latest book, The Road to Dallas, about the Kennedy assassination, was just published by Harvard University Press.

History Unfolding

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years.. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?

We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700 billion we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of "we the people," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.

We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy.. Why?

We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity.. Why?

We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it simply wants marriage to remain defined as between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?) We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?

Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, social security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and I know precisely what I am talking about) - the list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially 1929 x ten...and we are at war with an enemy we cannot even name for fear of offending people of the same religion, who, in turn, cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And finally, we have elected a man that no one really knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla , Alaska .. All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe are more important.)

Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: CHANGE. Why?

I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.

This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.

And that is only the beginning..

As a serious student of history, I thought I would never come to experience what the ordinary, moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the "savior" was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they should have known was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory. Conservative "losers" read it right now.

And there were the promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and frowned and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully and beat them into submission. Which they did - regularly. And then, he was duly elected to office, while a full-throttled economic crisis bloomed at hand - the Great Depression. Slowly, but surely he seized the controls of government power, person by person, department by department, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The children of German citizens were at first, encouraged to join a Youth Movement in his name where they were taught exactly what to think. Later, they were required to do so. No Jews of course,

How did he get people on his side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex.. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe, and across the world. He did it with a compliant media - did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and . . .CHANGE And the people surely got what they voted for.

If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It's all there in the history books.

So read your history books. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.

Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me..

I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.

I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections.

My thoughts on the "R" word.

Racism.  I have been called racist.  I have had friends called it.  I have have friends exposed to it and I myself have experienced it.  What are going to do about it. 

It is unfair to call a group of people racist because of a few individuals.  I hear the NAACP calling the Tea Party a group of racist.  I hear the Tea Party calling the NAACP racist.  I see whites talking about blacks.  I see blacks talking about whites.  I hear Hispanics talking about the "white devils".  What in the heck. 

We have problems America!  If you are an "American", then you need to stand up for America because she is hurting right now.  I see all of these special interest groups fighting and it makes me sick.  Let me make it plain and simple.  If you live in this country and claim to be an American then start acting like one.  Stand up for your country and your fellow American.  It is not about Black, Hispanic, Asian, White or whatever.  It is about America. 

We have terrorist that want to kill us.  We have drug cartels that have for all practical purposes, invaded US soil in Arizona.  We have are soldiers getting killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We have an unchecked flow of "illegal immigrants" coming across the southern border.  We have a soon to be Gulf States Tar Pit forming.  These are the important things that we need to deal with. 

To downgrade people because of their race is stupid.  Lets come together.  And I know that someone will point out the last blog posting that made fun of the New Black Panther Party fellow, Shabazz.  We I don't dislike him because he's black.  I dislike him because he is stupid and the DOJ continues to let him be stupid.  He in my opinion is racist and his attitude is what's wrong with our country.

The "UN" Faithful Americans?

What in the crap is this? FaithfulAmerica.Org

Is this supposed to be a Christian Organization? I am kind of confused. According to their site, they adhere to the following.

I am all for Churches working to end poverty and promote economic security for all. Let start with the end of poverty and economic security here in America first before we go "helping" everyone else. I am not saying' "don't take that mission trip to Haiti" to help out there. But start helping out in your "community". There is a word for all of you "community" activist's. Help the needy in you "community". Promote economic security in your "community" before you try and solve the rest of the worlds problems.

Promote peace (all for that) and restore America's commitment to human rights and diplomacy (o.k). I am all for the promotion of peace, but peace is never going to happen. You have too many people that force their own wills onto other for that to ever be a realistic option. Weither it is the thug that wants your stuff and is willing to force you to give it to him or break into your house and steal it. Or the "world leader" that forces nationalized health-care on to the backs of a majority that don't want it.

America's commitment to human rights? I didn't think we had strayed from our commitment to human rights. Is not "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" spelled out in the Constitution? People still have their rights set forth by the Constitution and the exercise those rights everyday. I can think of one. Minister King Samir Shabazz said, "You want freedom? You're gonna have to kill some crackers! You're gonna have to kill some of their babies!" Now if a man can say that and not have to worry about the "man" coming down on him for hate speech, then I guess it's o.k. for me to say, "if you try and kill my cracker babies, I will choke you to death with your own hands". Oh wait, I guess since the "man" is Obama, Mr. Minister King Samir Shabazz has nothing to worry about. I mean this current version of America is great. Free housing, free food, free health-care... what else do you need?

Prevent the Catastrophic effects of climate change. Exactly how are you going to do that? Lets hook up with Brother Al Gore and buy some of his Carbon Credits. Maybe that will work. I heard someone say once, "If Al Gore was alive 600 years ago he would be saying, we have to fight the effects of man made global rounding." (The earth is flat, global rounding, get it.... oh never-mind). Humans have no control over the climate. Humans are just a speck on the rump of the universe. Deal with it and quit wasting taxpayers money trying to solve the unsolvable.

Counter hate speech and misinformation in the media pertaining to people of faith. I will refer you to the comment above about His holyness Mr. Minister King Samir Shabazz. How are you countering him? I am sure the "crackers" and the "babies of the crackers" are people of faith too. I would consider Dr. Grand Pooba His holyness Mr. Minister King Samir Shabazzs comments hateful at the least. I don't see anyone condemning it.... other than normal everyday people that haven't drank the cool aid yet.

Working for welcoming communities where immigrants and people of all faiths are welcome. Exactly what in the crap does that mean? Are we promoting illegal immigration? Are we promoting sanctuary cities where illegal immigrants can hide and suck off of American Tax Payers? Politicians have not done anything to remedy this problem. I would love to pull over a illegal immigrant and have him or her produce a valid drivers license. One that he got through the state. With his or her real name, DOB, etc..... That's a start. And give them a way to become citizens if the want it. And if they don't want to be citizens, send them back.

Are you Serious?

I have been watching the ebb and flow (here lately) of the New Black Panther Party and must say that I am just flabbergasted. I even went as far as to go on to the New Black Panther Party's (NBPP) and see what they are about. Here I found a list of 10 "demands" set forth by the NBPP. I wanted to just hit a few and give my stupid white American cop opinion. I have cut the length of each point to save space. You can read the full points on the NBPP website.

1. We want freedom. We want the power to practice self-determination, and to determine the destiny of our community and THE BLACK NATION. We believe that Black People will not be free until we are able to determine our Divine Destiny.

You are free bud. If you live in America you are. You do determine you own destiny. Why are you demanding a power that you already posses? We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL MEN are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. The power to make things better for yourself is right there, unless it involved killing cracker babies.

2. We want full employment for our people and we demand the dignity to do for ourselves what we have begged the white man to do for us. We believe that since the white man has kept us deaf, dumb and blind, and used every dirty trick in the book to stand in the way of our freedom and independence, that we should be gainfully employed until such time we can employ and provide for ourselves. We believe further in: POWER IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! WEALTH IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! ARMS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE!

Hey, Everyone needs a job. I can't argue with you on that one. But are you supposed to just be handed a job because you think you are entitled to one? I will again point to the words above "Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". To be brutally honest, all anyone is entitled to is to be born, to make a life of yourself and death. Dignity is not something you demand. It's something you either have for yourself or you don't. And I don't know who it is that has kept you deaf, dumb and blind, but if you dropped out of school or didn't take the opportunities that were afforded to you like a free public education, that's on you - nobody else.

3. We want tax exemption and an end to robbery of THE BLACK NATION by the CAPITALIST. We want an end to the capitalistic domination of Africa in all of its forms: imperialism, criminal settler colonialism, neo-colonialism, racism, sexism, zionism, Apartheid and artificial borders.
We believe that this wicked racist government has robbed us, and now we are demanding the overdue debt of reparations. A form of reparations was promised 100 years ago (forty acres and a mule) as restitution for the continued genocide of our people and to in meaningful measure and repair the damage for the AFRICAN HOLOCAUST.

You and me both, I would love to be exempt from paying taxes. But guess what.... it ain't happening. And reparations? If you just want a free hand out say it. I don't owe you anything, period. And for reparations to work, something would have to be taken from me against my will (ie.. taxes) and given to you. That's call theft of property, and it is a crime in most states. If my great great granddad told your great great granddad that he promised to give him a new screwdriver, cause he broke your great great granddads screwdriver, then it is on pappy. I don't owe you for a screwdriver. If pappy failed to give what he promised then it's on him.

4. We want decent housing, fit for shelter of human beings, free health-care (preventive and maintenance). We want an end to the trafficking of drugs and to the biological and chemical warfare targeted at our people.
We believe since the white landlords will not give decent housing and quality health care to our Black Community, the he housing, the land, the social, political and economic institutions should be made into independent UUAMAA New African Communal/Cooperatives so that our community, with government reparations and aid (until we can do for ourselves) can build and make drug free, decent housing with health facilities for our people.

I am starting to see a pattern here (We want Free...) I don't know anyone living in a rice hut. Even in the projects, those apartments are built way better than my house. Now as far as the "making it drug free", if you got people slinging dope on the corners. Do something about it. Get involved. Call the police, point out the person slinging. Don't be scared of them. Band together as a community and run these people out. As far as the free health care is concerned.... We'll see what the future holds for that.

5. We want education for our people that exposes the true nature of this devilish and decadent American society. We want education that teaches us our true history/herstory and our role in the present day society.

Well I want the truth in history to be taught as well. I believe that things get twisted in the history books as well. Some of what you are talking about is on you. If you wait on some government group to teach you then you are at the mercy of what they decide is best for you to learn.

6. We want all Black Men and Black Women to be exempt from military service.
We believe that Black People should not be forced to fight in the military service to defend a racist government that holds us captive and does not protect us. We will not fight and kill other people of color in the world who, like Black People, are being victimized by the white racist government of America. We will protect ourselves from the force and violence of the racist police and the racist military, by any means necessary.

As far as military service is concerned, I don't think the draft is in effect, ..... so if you don't want to serve in the military, you don't have to. Good Lord.... victim, victim, victim. I am not even going to.... whatever!

7. We want an immediate end to POLICE HARRASSMENT, BRUTALITY and MURDER of Black People. We want an end to Black-on-Black violence, snitching, cooperation and collaboration with the oppressor.
We believe we can end police brutality in our community by organizing Black self-defense groups (Black People's Militias/Black Liberation Armies) that are dedicated to defending our Black Community from racist, fascist, police/military oppression and brutality. The Second Amendment of white America's Constitution gives a right to bear arms. We therefore believe that all Black People should unite and form an African United Front and arm ourselves for self-defense.

If the police are harassing and murdering you. That's one thing. But if you just burglarized the Circle K and are making off with the money, Little Debbie's and cigarettes, then I don't feel sorry for you at all. And after the high speed pursuit, after you wrecked your car, don't call those injuries police brutality. And I didn't know the Constitution was specifically for whites. Refer to the ALL MEN are created equal statement above. Militia's? Do you really want to show up on a traffic stop or domestic violence call with a group of gun totin' vigilantes? Well that's on you too. You'll have to cross that bridge by yourself.

8. We want freedom for all Black Men and Black Women held in international, military, federal, state, county, city jails and prisons.
We believe that all Black People and people of color should be released from the many jails and prisons because they have not received a fair and impartial trial. Released means released to the lawful authorities of the Black Nation.

And who is the lawful authorities of the Black Nation. I'm just curious. Look every person in any one race is not automatically good people. All white people are not all good ,just like they are not all bad. Same with every other race. I am sure there are people in Jail that do not belong there. But, it would be retarded to set everyone free that are in jail just because.

9. We want all Black People when brought to trial to be tried in a court by a jury of their peer group or people from their Black Communities, as defined by white law of the Constitution of the United States.
We believe that the courts should follow their own law, if their nature will allow (as stated in their Constitution of the United States) so that Black People will receive fair trials. The 6th Amendment of the United States Constitution gives a man/woman a right to an impartial trial, which has been interpreted to be a fair trial by one's peer group. A peer is a person from a similar economic, social, religious, geographical, environmental, historical and racial background. To do this, the court will be forced to select a jury from the Black Community from which the Black defendant came. We have been and are being tried by all white juries that have no understanding of the average reasoning person of the Black Community.

Though I don't 100% agree, I'll give you that one. I do however think I have a pretty good understanding of the average reasoning person in the Black Community. If someone a family member in the Black Community then they would probably be mad as hell, hey just like me under the same circumstances. Go figure.

10. WE DEMAND AN END TO THE RACIST DEATH PENALTY AS IT IS APPLIED TO BLACK AND OPPRESSED PEOPLE IN AMERICA. WE DEMAND FREEDOM FOR ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS OF THE BLACK RED AND BROWN NATION!

See, I think that if you have done a crime so heinous that they death penalty was brought into play, then that's what you deserve. Red, Yellow, Black and White. It don't matter. There are things call consequences that happen when you do something bad. Don't do the crime if you can't, or are unprepared to face the consequences.

There were some more points on the site, but I'll give my two cents on those later. And for what its worth. Nothing I have said was meant in any racist manner. I am not a racist nor do I condone ANY type of racism from ANY group of people towards another.
